Hello, John, as you know I'm in the early stages of window sash assessment and doing considerable research on materials and methods. I keep wavering back and forth between an American system and a Swedish system. I'm of the generation that has always been a bit cavalier about environmental health and safety, but as I get older it actually becomes a more important consideration. I read the Aquaglaze MSDS (a major contender for my window restoration) and it contains butyl benzyl pthalate, a plasticizer, along with the required calcium carbonate. Those are the two ingredients listed. BBT is being phased out in Europe and Canada as it is classified as a toxic substance, FWIW to those who follow your website.
